Let’s work out what happened.

I can’t import my recordings

Baby Voice Diary can only read a folder you choose in Apple’s file picker. Make sure the files are still in the same place and allow the app to keep accessing that folder. A failed scan never changes or deletes a source recording.

Some files were skipped

The app explains when a file is damaged, unsupported, or missing a reliable recording date. Other readable recordings can continue. Recordings from different dates become separate diary entries.

A diary job stopped

Jobs save their real progress. Open the task list to continue. Once a remote-recognition job has a verified local archive, it can resume without reconnecting the original folder.

On-device or remote recognition?

On-device recognition sends no audio. Remote recognition starts only after the app explains the protected audio copies it will send, the services involved, and the cleanup rules, and you give separate consent. Original recordings are never uploaded or changed.

How do I share with family?

Family sharing uses private iCloud invitations. The owner invites each person, and they must accept before they can see shared diaries, illustrations, and selected audio clips. Belonging to the same Apple Family does not grant diary access.

How do I restore purchases?

Open Settings in the app, open Subscription, and choose Restore Purchases. Apple handles purchases and refunds. You can manage the subscription in the Settings app on your iPhone.

How do I delete something?

You can delete diaries, media, and local tasks in the app. Shared content follows the state of the private iCloud family space. Stopping or deleting a remote task starts server cleanup, though data already read by an outside recognition provider may remain subject to that provider’s retention terms.

Still need help?

Use the developer contact shown on the App Store product page. Please do not send original recordings, full transcripts, a home address, or other sensitive family details. A device model, system version, screen name, and the error message are usually enough.

We will never ask for your Apple Account password, verification code, or a complete purchase receipt.
